Lab Request
This section will look at how to create a Lab request.
1. Begin the process
You can place an order for a lab service from several points. These are:
- In the patient details view under the quick links section.
- In the consultation view under the quick links section.
- In the Lab records view under the quick links section.
2. Fill in the details
Once you have clicked an lab request/order link, you are redirected to a view where you can fill in the:
- Patient's name
- Patient's telephone number
- Patient's email address
- The name of the Doctor requesting the Lab test

For In-Patients/Out-Patients registered, this section will be pre-filled with their details.
You can then select one or more lab tests. After selecting a lab test from the dropdown, click Select this lab test to add it to the list of tests you wish done for the patient.
Note you can't select the same lab test twice.
3. Submit Request
Once done, Click the Submit Lab Request button. You will be redirected with a success message indicating the order was placed successfully.
